Lionel Murphy - synths, vocoder, turntables, bass, guitars, vocals
Sebastien Laroux - synths, drums/percussion, guitars, samples, vocals
The saying goes, "Jack of all trades, master of none", but that can't be further from the truth for the multi-talented duo that is Astral Daggers.
Lionel and Sebastien are in the business of creating aural environments that their fans can disappear into, and they do this through any musical means necessary. Taking their cue from genre-bending groups such as Radiohead, Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers and Sigur Ros, The Daggers' approach is to layer as many sounds as possible on top of each other, creating a dense landscape for the listener to inhabit. They have their quiet moments too, but only for a breather. Then a new world begins to form.
"We set out with each song with the intent to create the sonic version of Inception," Sebastien Laroux says. "We want to be your consciousness, and perhaps even your subconsciousness."
